It seems like a small word
It's only three letters
It seems like so little
But yet it can mean so much
It's the question little kids ask
That sometimes annoys adults
Their questions at times seem pointless
Yet it can be the hardest of all to answer
Why does the sun shine?
Why can we feel so low?
Why do people have to die?
Does anybody know?
Nobody can know all the answers
Maybe no one ever will
But we can still wonder
And try to understand why
