Not much is known about this Corellian Jedi, who lived about 400 years ago. He was a solidly built man with long, dark hair he wore in a ponytail. He also had a moustache and a goatee. He wielded a lightsaber with a silver blade, a color which seems to have become a Halcyon tradition.
Keiran is famed for putting a stop to both the Selonian Afarathu sect and its marauding in the Corellian system. He was so successful at this that, centuries later, when the Imperials tried to stir up xenophobic attitudes on Corellia by bringing up the Selonian Afarathu, no one really saw the Selonians as a threat because it'd been so long since they'd actually made war.
Luke Skywalker believes that Keiran is Corran's ancestor, and surmises that Corran may have been named for him. Corran assumed this name when undergoing Jedi training on Yavin 4 during the events of I, Jedi. There is also a street in Coronet City on Corellia named Halcyon, most likely named in honor of this peace-bringing Jedi.
